For example, if you check my record for the 2010-2011 bowl games, you will see my TOP PLAYS listed as 8-0-2. The BCS championship game between Oregon and Auburn is listed as a push. However, the opening line was Auburn -3 ½ and I sent an email to all my clients to take Oregon plus the points. Shortly thereafter, the line dropped to 2 ½ and I advised my clients that if you didn’t get Oregon at + 3 ½ or + 3, then buy half a point and bring it back to + 3. That was the line I used for that pick. As it drew closer to game day, the line kept dropping and on game day it was down to pick ‘em. I then, advised to try and middle the game by betting Auburn at a pick for half the amount they bet on Oregon at + 3 or better ( I still felt Oregon was the better team ). As you know, Auburn won by 3 points and most of my clients pushed on Oregon and won on Auburn. A few lucky players, had Oregon at + 3 1/2 ( one of my clients told me he had it at + 4 ! ) and came back on Auburn at a pick and won both sides ( middled ) of the game . So, although, I listed the game as a push on my record ( 8-0-2 ), many of my clients actually finished the bowl season at 10-0-1
We rarely have a losing college or NFL season and I’ve never shown a loss on both in the same season, but when I do have a loss, I own up to it. The 2010 college season is a good example. After a super year in 2009 (69 % ), we finished the regular 2010 college season one game below 50 %, although we did make up for it in the Bowl games. I’ve never had two below average seasons in a row, so I was expecting a great college season in 2011 and from October first, to the end of the regular season, we went 31-13 ( 70 % ) and system plays were 16-7 for a combined total of 47-20 ( 7 0 % ) !
